We need protected bike lanes in New York City (2014)
When "vision zero" started in 2014 there was a hearing at Brooklyn Borough Hall and Eric Adams was there and it pretty simple to realize that if we really want zero deaths we need protected bike lanes. Think about it, what chance does a pedestrian or cyclist have if they are hit by a car. Zero. The protected bike lane at the very least gives a pedestrian or cyclist a chance to survive.
